Our Department of Commerce has Eleven faculty members, including our college Principal. Nine members are having Doctorate, others are doing Ph.D. The curriculum is designed by the Board of studies of Madurai Kamaraj University and up to 2021, our Principal was the Chairman of the B.Com Board of studies and two members were the Members of Board of studies of various colleges.

The Commerce curriculum includes Accounting, Finance, Banking and Management which is taught by our distinguished faculties combining academic excellence and real-world experience with dedication and sincere commitment. The Department of Commerce has recorded consistent improvement in its academic, research and placement performance. We are having best academic results in every year and University Ranking is one of our customised activity. And we are proudly saying, that our previous year outgoing UG and PG results are 100 %. We encourage students to organize leadership programmes themselves by making Peer Team Teaching group. We encourage the students to organize events such as Association meeting, Trade fair and COMMASS Exhibition and other Inter departmental programmes.

We also encourage the students to participate various Inter-collegiate events organized by other colleges and also get involved in activities of social relevance. We arrange State, National and International level seminars, workshops conferences and guest lecture programmes for every year for the benefit of our students.

Our department programs are constantly updated to meet the changing requirement of the society employability. For providing the Employment opportunities, we offers various inter departmental certificate courses, placement coaching etc, We believe that our students have been well accepted in their job profiles and have consistently exceeded expectations of the corporate world.
