About the Department
The Department of English has its beginning with Under Graduate Programme right from the time of its inception in 2011. M.A. English was established in the year 2017. It caters to the needs of learning English Language and Literature both at Under Graduate and Post Graduate levels. The department has well- equipped and dedicated faculty members who serve the students by training them to face the competitive world by means of their studies and communication skills which will enhance their job opportunities. As a Department, we endow life skills through appreciation of literature in English through various cultures. The Department strives hard to foster the overall development of the students by actively engaging them in co- curricular and extra- curricular activities in addition to the curricular activities.
To develop athletes who are socially conscious, psychologically sound, emotionally stable, and physically fit.
- Producing national and internationally renowned sports stars.
- Encouraging the students to take part in both intramural and extramural sports.
- Enabling students to flourish in a single game while gaining familiarity with the other main games.
- Develop motor abilities like strength, speed, endurance, coordination, flexibility, agility, balance, techniques, and tactics, as they are important aspects for good performance in different games and sports.
- Acquire knowledge about the human body and its functioning is influenced by physical activities and understand the process of growth and development, as participation in physical activities has a positive relationship with it.
- Develop socio-psychological aspects like control of emotions, balanced behavior, and the development of leadership and followership qualities and team spirit through participation in games and sports.
